Hot summer is now over, and students are in the middle of exam season for entrance to higher educations in Japan. Ms.O received a notice of admittance from Tokyo Medical and Dental University's masters course recently, and we have interviewed her for some comments.
"I came to Japan with a goal to enter top-level graduate school to do research on theme I like. At first I could not decide which graduate school to enter, but elder students who are now studying at University of Tokyo and Tokyo Medical and Dental University gave me many advice and introduced me some good schools including theirs.
Based on the advice they gave me, I chose TMDU and I devoted myself in the preparation from April after I quit my part time job in order to focus in the study.
Everyday I studied at KCP, public library, at home.... There were times when I felt that may be I cannot do this, and sometimes I could not stop worrying about my future life, but each time there were people around me to offer help and support, I probably could not have done this if it weren't for them, and I truly appreciate it. Thank you so much!
On August 23rd, the day when I went to the university to check the result of my entrance exam I was so nervous. I cannot forget how happy I was when I saw my applicant number on the bulletin board at the university. I believe in the phrase that one cannot be successful without going through hardships one after another. If you believe in yourself and do your best, I am sure that you could achieve what you are aiming for. I would like to share this comment with my colleagues who are now in the process of taking the exams or waiting for the results, I wish all of you good luck and success in your ambition!!"
