Making rice cake for a new year

In the end of last year there was a event to make fresh rice cake at a temple in the school neighborhood. In Japan it is a tradition to eat rice cake in a new year, so it is common to make a rice cake in the end of a year.
In the morning they started making rice cake, and around noon they had one ready and were giving away cakes to the people who gathered there. A teacher who saw that told other teachers in the office about the event, and some teachers immediately went to the temple, they did not miss this for the world!
They truly enjoyed the fresh made rice cake's rich taste, you can see how good it was by seeing their faces on the photo!
