The star festival can be found not only in Japan but various places in Asia. The festival is based on a legendary story. A loving couple, who were not working but enjoying being together made the god angry. The god made a river between the wife and husband and allowed them to meet each other only once a year, on July 7th.
On this day, KCP students wrote their wishes on oblong cards and decorated them on bamboo tree branches. Some of the students also went to local star festival in Asagaya. It was a good day for KCP students to enjoy Japanese culture.
