During the term break between winter term and spring term, many students took advantage of the extended holidays and traveled in various places in Japan.
Here we are sharing the travel record of Mr. Kan who went to Izumo in Shimane prefecture, one of the popular power-spot areas in Japan.
This time he went to Izumo where his girl friend came from and stayed there for 4 days. He had a nice home-stay experience by staying with the girl friend's families. It was the first time for him to stay in a Japanes country-style house and life there, and he loved it very much. The big torii gate in the photo is the entrance of the popular "Izumo Taisha (shrine)". It would have been better with cherry blossoms but at that time they were not blooming yet. The property of the shrine was so big, and its harmony with nature surrounding the shrine was so beautiful. The next photo shows Adachi art museum. They have beautiful Japanese garden there, his girl friend's mother went out of her way to take him to the museum despite strong wind like typhoon that blew on that day, and he is so grateful and wants to say thank you again for all the hospitality!
